In a spirited show of unity and support ahead of UAAP Season 88, the Adamson University community gathered for the annual University Pep Rally held at the SV Court on September 17.
The day began with a morning mass at the San Vicente de Paul Parish Church, followed by a lively parade around campus that featured student organizations, faculty, and athletes. The event officially marked the university’s send-off for its varsity teams competing in this year’s UAAP season.
University President Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, expressed his gratitude and encouragement to the student-athletes for their consistent dedication to training and representing the school.
“I actually appreciate the efforts that you have given into our athletic program every afternoon,” he said.
He also led the community in a collective moment of hope and unity:
“I would like you all to win. Amen? Amen. Uulitin natin. We will win.”
Adamson Sports Director Fr. Aldrin Suan energized the crowd with the university’s signature cheers while introducing a new call to action for the season.
“Usually, we call out ‘Laban Adamson’ or ‘Unawanahikarimo’ — yan ang regular cheer natin. Just to add for this season, more than the ‘Laban Adamson,’ more than the ‘Unawanahikarimo,’ we have to use the words ‘Do It Well.’ Do it well, Adamson.”
The rally also featured dance performances from junior and senior athletes, showcasing their spirit, discipline, and commitment not only to sports but to the larger Adamsonian identity.
Now that UAAP Season 88 is underway, the pep rally continues to serve as a strong reminder of the university’s support for its athletes. With every game, the call remains clear: Do it well, Adamson.
